A Tibetan woman said Wednesday that she pulled out of a beauty pageant in
Malaysia after organizers, reacting to pressure from Beijing, told her
halfway through the event that she could only participate if she added

Tenzin Dolma, 21, was crowned Miss Tibet 2007 in a small contest
held by Tibetan refugees in Mcleod Ganj recently.
Born and raised in Dharamshala, Dolma came to Delhi to train as an
airhostess two years back. She enrolled in one of the many training
institutes found in the Capital, but soon found herself getting a
lot of modelling assignments.

Twenty-one-year-old Tenzin Dolma from Mcleod Ganj working
as an executive in a call centre in New Delhi has been
crowned Miss Tibet 2007 on Sunday evening. She is also a
part-time model. While 20-year-old Tsering Yangzom from
Kollegal in Karnataka and 20-year-old Deeki Dolma from
Gangtok have been declared first runner-up and second
